Assignment #4: Movie Moguls

Given the film genre and the subject type, create a promotional movie campaign that:

  • Crosses 3 different media
  • uses a theme and repeated elements
  • is size appropriate to the format of the media, i.e., a banner ad that is typical size
  • includes a moodboard
  • includes a storyboard and other sketches

Look at how the style of the movie or the genre influences color, type, and layout choices. Is the movie happy, sad, romantic, scary, etc. – how do you express what the movie viewing experience is going to be like? Imagine that your client is a big movie company that has hired you to take on the visual promotion of a movie that hasn’t yet been filmed (it happens, trust me…).
